What this site does NOT do

No cookies. No web tracking, no analytics services, no ad networks. No external fonts, scripts or images — everything is served from this server, so no connection to third parties is established. No profiling, no automated decision-making, no transfers to third countries.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access it, the web server processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser identification) in its own log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation. A data processing agreement is in place with the host.

Own usage log

To see how often and via which route my contact card is opened, one line is appended to a text file per request. Stored are only: timestamp, type of request (page, vCard, QR display), the name of the access link used, the display language and a coarse device class (iOS, Android, desktop). The IP address and the full browser identification are explicitly NOT stored, so no personal reference can be established. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Language choice in your browser

If you switch between German and English above, your browser stores that choice locally (localStorage, entry “hb-lang”). The value never leaves your device and is not transmitted to the server. It is required for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG) and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.

vCard download

The contact file you download contains my own contact details. No data about you is collected beyond the request itself.

Retention

Usage log lines are deleted after twelve months at the latest. The host’s own retention periods apply to the server logs.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the competent one is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg. For anything else, please use the email address above.
